Common Shipping Label PDF Printing Problems and Fixes

← Back to Help CenterSHIPPING LABEL GUIDE

Label printing errors are often caused by unsupported layouts, scaling or printer configuration. Diagnose the issue before dispatching a parcel.

1. PDF format not recognized

The marketplace may have changed the label format, or the PDF may be a scanned image. Try the original export instead of a screenshot or scanned copy. If detection still fails, print the original using the marketplace’s instructions.

2. Barcode is missing or cropped

Do not print or use the cropped output. Check the input PDF and the preview. The entire barcode and quiet area around it must remain present.

3. Address runs off the edge

Verify the selected paper size and any scaling. If the preview itself is cut off, the crop is unsafe; use the original PDF.

4. Thermal printer feeds a blank label

Confirm media alignment, correct label-side loading, printer calibration and paper dimensions using the manufacturer instructions.

5. Labels appear in an unexpected order

When SKU grouping is enabled, printing order may differ from the marketplace download order. Verify order IDs and SKU values during packing.

6. A4 output looks too small

A 4 × 6 document is intended for a matching label size. Printing it on A4 without proper configuration can create white space or shrink the output.

7. Upload stalls or download fails

Try a smaller supported file and a current desktop browser. Browser memory constraints can affect large PDFs. Retain the original documents and avoid repeatedly uploading customers’ data to unknown tools.

When to contact support

Describe the marketplace, browser and error message using our Contact Us page. Do not send unredacted customer labels or addresses unless absolutely necessary.

CropShip is a browser-based seller utility. The tested Flipkart E-Kart sample supports automatic cropping and 4 × 6-inch PDF output. PDF structures vary by marketplace and over time; other marketplace formats may not work. Always verify labels before dispatch.
